Play on Wheels (POW) is an exciting mobile play service operating in Dundee, Angus and Fife. Our main aim is to support communities in developing their play opportunities locally building on our experience working across these areas in the last five years.
The POW team consists of four experienced play practitioners with a rich knowledge of how to support families and practitioners to develop children’s play. They have two vans filled with scrap resources for children to explore and enjoy creative play. POW works alongside children, families and practitioners in their own settings for around 8 to 12 weeks to create lasting change to their play resources, knowledge and capacity to improve play.
Our main aim is to support communities in developing their play opportunities locally building on our previous five year programme across these areas.
This project is funded by National Lottery, Big Lottery Improving Lives Fund from 2016 to 2019.

Play Development Lead (Dundee & Angus)
Steve loves his risky play, whether it be swinging in the trees, making things with saws and hammers, or sitting around a campfire just chatting away and cooking some food. He is also passionate about promoting the rights of the child, and the importance of play in their lives.
