Are there checks in place to ensure your workers are qualified and safe to work with children?

Yes, our workers and volunteers will only be able to work at play sessions once references and full PVG checks have been returned giving us no reason to doubt their suitability to work with children.

At sessions are you like a 'playscheme' where parents can leave kids in your care?

We are not a childcare provider therefore are not responsible for the children. Parents must look upon the Play Rangers as if they were allowing their children to play out or go to the park. Our service offers a level of supervision to the point that if a child was hurt or troubled we would take appropriate action but we are not registered to ‘look after’ children.

Will children have to pay for play sessions?

No, our project has been funded through Children in Need until August 2019 and Inspiring Scotland until March 2017.

What about the weather?

A little rain didn’t ever hurt anyone! We will try to operate in all weathers and in fact come up with ways to use it. Come suitably dressed!
